It's that time again, yes challenge time! Boohoo are challenging fashion bloggers to style a party outfit for under £100 and be in for a chance of winning of some vouchers! Find more information HERE!

For the outfit I wanted to keep it pretty simple but still effective, I think the dress is gorgeous and the gems add so much. I love the bag and shoes, I think they'll be pretty reusable being Black. My favourite items are definitely the ear rings, I think they match the dress perfectly! They just a lovely pop of colour being bright Red. I love the outfit and I would defenitly wear it myself.

Feeling festive!

I saw the lovely Lauren and Becky come with with a Christmas bucket list and I couldn't wait to make my own, what a wonderful idea! I adore Christmas but over the past couple of years I have been really stuck for idea's on what to do in the cold, winter night and coming up with this bucket list really helped.  This year I decided I wanted to attempt at making a few of my own presents and I thought cookies and cupcakes would be an amazing idea, I think this year i'll be making Melting Snowman cookies with my younger brother and sending them out to family, they're such a simple yet great idea! I have already started watching Christmas movies, I watched the Grinch and A nightmare before Christmas in the middle of November, it's never too early though, right?! I feel great that I have already accomplished number 6 and I had a lovely time doing so. I doubt i'll do everything on the list but if I don't it'll give me something to do next year.

What would be on your Christmas bucket list? How do you normally spend Christmas?

On a completly different note, I won another giveaway! I won the lovely Jayde's 500 followers giveaway, winning a limited edition Friends prize pack :) November is definitely a lucky a month.

Baby love.

Hello lovelies! If you read my Sunday Wishlist #23, you'll know that I made my first cupcake order Sunday (so exciting!). I made them for my cousins friend, Nicola's baby shower. She is expecting a baby boy in just 4 weeks time! I made White chocolate cupcake's with just a simple buttercream on top and topped them with Blue hands, feet and glimmers.

Sorry about the quality of the pictures, I really need to update my camera! Everyone loved the cupcakes at the baby shower and I would love to make more again! I only made around 18 I think as my cousin hadn't bought enough ingredients but it made no difference.

I Hope you're all enjoying your Wednesday, if all goes to plan I'll finally be seeing Breaking Dawn part II later. I am super excited!

Blog of the week ♡ being little.

This weeks blog of the week is lovely Lyzi! Another blog I have read since before I started my blog and I just adore her's. It's pretty different from other blog's I read (still fashion based) but I think it's just the way her pictures are, very cute and quirky. I have been LOVING her recent Sleepy Sunday posts and can't wait to read her next post.

Lyzi seems like she would be a lovely, lovely person to be around and I think her blog really shows that, It feels so warm and inviting.

Sunday Wishlist #23.

Hello lovelies! This post will is scheduled as I'll be at home making my first cupcake order with my cousin (so exciting!), it's for my cousins friend's baby show, who is expecting a baby boy in a couple of months time. I'll remember to take my camera to show you all the finished product, anyhoo enough about me. Lets talk about the items!

I am in love with the cat print dress! I don't really wear colour so Navy isn't much of a step out of my confort zone. I adore the bag too, I love a good a Select bag. My last 3 bag have been from there and they always last me such a long time, I love the stud detail and the size. I need a huge bag to shove all my crap in haha. I am in dire need of a new pair of shoes (my poor Vans are falling apart) hence the 2 pairs, I'm torn between both pairs as I love them both but I think I'm leaning towards the Suede pair mainly because of the price (£14.99!). I'm not sure why I want the case so much but the design is pretty adorable.

I hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday!

Sheffield Christmas lights 2012.

Finally myself and my boyfriend went into town this evening to see our Christmas lights, we had been meaning to go and see them turned on by Matt Cardle I think (I'm not too sure, If anyone knows who turned them on please comment below so I can correct the post) but my sleep pattern has been terrible recently and I was far too tired to go then we planned going Wednesday and seeing Breaking Dawn Part 2 but I wasn't feeling too well so we didn't go again. Since we had nothing to do this evening we went and saw them finally, they're definitely my favourite part of Christmas. They're so pretty!

The first five picture were taken in our Peace Gardens, this year they have a few Blackpool illuminations. I have no idea why but they're probably the best sheffield has done for a while, being a HUGE Doctor Who fan I adore the Tardis and the Darlek. I really wanted a picture with them but everything was sectioned off. The other 2 pictures are a beautiful, sparkly christmas tree! This tree was in the peace gardens last year and I am so happy they've brought it back this year. I also mean't to take a few pictures of the Christmas market but my Camera batteries died and my hands were too cold to change them. All in all I had a lovely evening and so did my boyfriend. He has his first festive Starbucks of the year (praline mocha, YUCK!) so he is a happy boy.

Sorry about this being such a photo and text heavy post but I hope you all enjoy the rest of your evening and have enjoyed reading!

Sunday wishlist #22 - Christmas edition!

Today I thought instead of my usual wishlist, i'd share with you some things i'd love for Christmas. You have no idea how long it's taken me to decided what I want, literally ever year I never know what I want so I don't really ask for anything. I'm not really bother about anything too flash for Christmas so I usually don't ask for anything and just get the usual bits and bobs.

I don't really have much of an explanation of why I want the items other than they're all things I've wanted a while but never had the spare money to buy them myself. My favourite item is the Velvet playsuit and the one above is £15 (yes, 15 quid!) from ebay, I first saw the beautiful Tami wearing it and it just fell in love. To say my name is velvet-tidesxo I am yet to own anything velvet :(. I really want the disco pants too! They'd be perfect to wear everyday and i'd also love a Geek shirt to wear with them and i'd pair it with my Vans (which are wrecked, so if anyone would like to buy me a new pair i'd love you forever).

Hope everyone enjoy's the rest of their Sunday!

Christmas party blogger challenge.

I am entering yet another challenge and I can't wait! It's hosted by and the aim is to create an outfit for the up and coming party season with a budget of £100 or under. There are three £100 fashion vouchers up for grabs to the three best outfits, and each entrant needs to pick one merchant from the list of all merchants on,, to create their outfit from.

Find full details on the challenge HERE! Closing date for all entries is 17th December and the winner will be announced 21st December.

So, these are my picks! I decided to choose as my merchant because of the massive range of lovely items they have. I've had my eye on the dress for a while (the back of the dress is beautiful, see HERE) and thought that this challenge would be perfect to showcase it, I would be great for any Christmas party as it's so sparkly and I think the necklace matches it perfectly. I paired the outfit with a simple pair of Suede Lita dupes and wet-look clutch. I would kill for this outfit, it's gorgeous and sparkly and still quite simple at the same time.

Good luck to anyone who enter's as I had so much doing this challenge!

Movember for girls.

Movember is an annual, month-long event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise the awareness of prostate cancer and other male cancer and associated charities but as us lovely ladies can't take part in the moustache growing part I thought i'd show you how we can show our support and join the fun too.

What do you think of my picks? I adore the dress, slippers and watch! I also thought i'd share with you what the lovely Gee is doing for Movember, find more information on what she is doing HERE.

Hope you all enjoyed this post!

I LOVE: All things Christmassy!

I know its not even the middle of November yet but I do love Christmas! I actually cannot believe we're almost in December, it's so crazy! To be honest it personally still feels like the end of Summer.

In this post I thought i'd show you my favourite Christmassy finds, I love the Reindeer onesie and I think they have a similar one in Primark for around £12. I love the Yankee Candle too, it smells devine! I can't really explain what it smells like but it's lovely. I really wanted to include my favourite christmas movie too, The Grinch is great and I could watch it all year round. The jumper is possibly my favourite find, how cute?!

Anyhooo I'll be doing his/hers Christmas present idea's in the next few days. So keep your eye's peeled if you're struggling to find the perfect present for a loved one.

Sunday Wishlist #21.

I don't think I've ever struggled selecting items for a wishlist as much as I did with one but it's now by far one of my favourites! I didn't realise until I was finished how many similar coloured pieces I'd chosen but they're all so pretty. The Jumper is a dupe of the JW Anderson Bat jumper, which I adore but being a blogger on a budget I really can't afford the real thing, Internacionale also have a similar piece for £19.99 but that's still a little steep for a jumper. The dresses are gorgeous! Number 2 is from H+M and number 3 is from Topshop, I'm really tempted to go and try on the dresses and maybe pursued my boyfriend to buy me one. I'd been dire need of a new mascara for a while so I bought MUA Mega Volume Mascara and I'm kinda disappointed but for £3 I haven't really lost much money by being disappointed. I think i'll stick to a Rimmel mascara from now on.

2. The Fame perfume set (includes 30ml perfume and 200ml shower gel) - I have had my eye on this perfume for months and I still haven't bought it. It would be a great present for any little monsters out there. It's under £25 too which is amazing value for what it includes!

I LOVE: Oxblood!

I am adoring anything Oxblood at the moment, it's possibly my favourite Autumn trend. It's such a beautiful colour and I personally think it's a colour that can go with anything. I'm really, really tempted to buy the Oxblood lace dress which is £16.20 (10% off when you sign up to their news letter), It would look great on any Autumn day, if the Dr Marten's weren't £100 i'd snap those up too!

Topshop have a HUGE range of items, which can be found here. Asos also has a wide range of items too, which can be found here

Are you a lover of the Oxblood trend?

Blog of the week ♡ megleaisabelle.

I absolutely adore Meg Lea Isabelle's blog (what a beautiful name she has too!), I love pretty much everything about it. I love her 4 ways to wear post above, every way she has styled it is perfect. It's made me want to order the dress too, I've been changing my mind a lot as Halloween has just gone but Meg proves it can worn with anything.

Meg also runs Stud Muffin Vintage, which has so many gorgeous products (I'm pretty gutted the Burgundy Velvet Skater Dress is now out of stock).

If you don't already follow Meg's blog, go follow it now. I really think it has something for everyone!

Sunday Wishlist #20.

I am in love with this wishlist! The first 2 shirts are perfect, I've seen quite a few bloggers wearing it and loved it on them and for £6.30, its too good of a price not to buy. I think both shirts would look great with either jeans or a cute skater skirt. My other choices are just perfume (I don't have enough!) and winter essentials, the dress is gorgeous. Velvet and Floral, can't go wrong in my eyes. I have been lusting over the boots since I saw them on Chloe's blog and the coat is just a winter must have, it looks so warm and snuggly, its unreal!

Anyhoo enough about clothes and shoes, this post is scheduled as I'm off to see the WWE RAW taping tomorrow in Birmingham so I'm at Ben's parents for the weekend. I cannot contain my excitement, aaaaah! I can't believe i've reached 20 wishlists too, I doesn't seem five minutes since I began blogging, how time flies, eh?

I ❤ Fall tag!

1. Favourite Fall lip product?
My lips tend to get pretty dry so I generally just use any lip balm I find. As for lipsticks, I'm not a fan but i'd love try something! Any recommendations?

2. Favourite Fall Nail Polish?
I haven't bought any Fall nail polishes yet but I'm planning on buying Stormy Skies and Red Fever by MUA. They both look like they'd be perfect Fall shades.

3. Favourite Starbucks Fall Drinks?
I really, really don't like anything from Starbucks but my boyfriend loves their Praline Mocha and has one every year.

4. Favourite Fall Candle?
i'm not sure if this candle counts as fall but I love Snow in Love by Yankee Candle, I can't really describe the smell but it's beautiful. I think I'm going to a sampler at somepoint.

5. Favourite Fall Scarf or accessory?
I haven't got one at the moment, I'm very overdue a visit to buy something. I really want a cute bobble hat.

6. Haunted house, haunted hay ride or haunted corn maze?
NONE! I'm a big wuss when it comes to all things scary, I love scary movies but anything "real" terrifies me.

7. Favourite Halloween movie?
I love Casper meets Wendy, I've loved it since I was a child but I also love the Texas Chainsaw Massacres. I love the Saw Movies too, they're not really scary but they always have a good story and lots of gore!

8. Favourite candy to eat on Halloween?
ANYTHING! I have such a sweet tooth it's unreal, I love Thorntons chocolate Lollies at the moment. They have Ghosts and Skeletons. I also love Cadbury's Scream Eggs and should really stock up on them.

9. What are you dressing up as for Halloween?!
I'd didn't get the chance to dress up this year but I really wanted to dress as Donnie Darko. Maybe next year.

10. What is your favourite thing about fall?
I love going out for a walk with the leaves crunching under my feet, I also love cosy nights in watching movies and definitely the build up to Christmas. It's such a stressful time but it's so lovely.

I tag anyone who want's to do this!

Winter coat cravings.

1//2//3//4 (similar here)//5//6

Hello lovelies! With the cold weather creeping up on us I'm in dire need of a coat, I have a Black duffle coat from last year but buttons are falling off and the sleeve's are becoming too short. For the past couple of weeks I've been wearing my Studded Leather Jacket but I'm getting too cold and I also need one for an early bonfire party Sunday. I've been looking a Parka as I don't usually wear them and I want to try something different but I think I've fallen in love with Quilted Fur trim Duffle Coat from New Look, It's a sale item so I'm really hoping they have it in both Sheffield Stores.

I also love the other coats but they're a little out of my price range. All except the Leather Sleeved Jacket from Quiz (6), It's now £19.99 from £49.99. Such a bargain.

(Update) I ended up buying the New Look Quilted Fur Trim Duffle coat and I am in love, it's so comfy and pretty warm too! I bought Khaki but I did really love it in Burgundy too, It was only £25 with 10 discount (Thank-you boyfriend!). I really enjoy the style of the coat, I love that it has a sort of Heritage feel and I think the fur hood just makes it better. The coat is now back up to £40 but it's definitely worth it.
